The Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism in Kamloops, BC, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide treatment programs for school-aged children in a therapeutic program for children with autism. The successful candidate will assess; develop programs; and provide direct communication intervention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This position is from September to June annually. Additional duties include communicating with family, co-workers and other members of the team.
The Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism is the only centre in western Canada that offers such immersive services to children with autism spectrum disorder.
This position starts immediately. Days and hours of work to be discussed with the applicant -- the programs operate Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, so times would be within that schedule. In order to be eligible for benefits, the successful applicant must complete a three-month probationary period and work at least 24 hours per week. The successful candidate must be licensed by the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHBC).
