Description

Position Summary If you are a Speech-Language Pathologist who takes enjoyment in caring and relationship centred practice, having a strong work ethic, and teaching others, we would love to hear from you for our relief, full time opportunity opening in Penticton.

Under the general direction of the Professional Practice Leader, the position provides family-centered speech & language services to children from birth to school entry and their families. Responsibilities include the provision of a full range of clinical services, community consultation and education, and implementation of a population health approach to promote healthy communication in the general population. You will be working with two full time SLP colleagues and would provide assessment and intervention to a general preschool caseload for speech/language disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. Services are provided at CHSC, in the clients’ home and at preschool centres.

Days of work are Monday to Friday with weekends and statutory holidays off. This position will provide coverage for a maternity leave until the return of incumbent August 2021. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits plan that includes coverage for basic Medical Services, Dental Services, and Extended Health. Relocation Allowance may be offered to the eligible candidate.

Qualifications • Registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC.
• One year’s experience in working with clients in Early Childhood Development setting and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid BC Driver’s license where required.
