Burnaby School District invites applications for the following positions:
Speech Language Pathologist
.5 fte. – Provincial Outreach Program Deaf and Hard of Hearing (POPDHH)
The focus of the POPDHH is to collaborate with school districts in meeting the needs of all Deaf and Hard of Hearing Learners. Duties will include but are not limited to: collaborating with educational teams; planning educational programming and intervention; speech, language and listening assessments; communicates with outside agencies; provides workshop for parents and staff; mentoring and on-line training. Position will include travel throughout province.
• Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
• related experience (preferably in an education environment)
• Applicants must be current or eligible members in good standing with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHHPBC)
• Fluency and/or proficiency in American Sign Language an asset.
