|JOB TITLE: Physical Therapist position,
STATUS:Regular part time .4 FTE
START DATE: As soon as possible
HOURS OF WORK: 14 hours per week on a flexible work week schedule based on client needs
HOURLY RATE: $29.50 - $34.40 as per COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT Paraprofessional Grid 16
Through a family-centered approach, the physical therapist provides consultation, assessment, intervention, and monitoring of motor skills in relation to development and optimizing positioning and function. Specific areas of specialization include, but are not limited to: Seating and Positioning, Equipment Prescription, and Manual Therapy techniques. Physical Therapy services are provided to children from birth to school age entry.
Master's Degree in Physiotherapy or Rehabilitative Medicine or equivalent
Registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia
Eligible for membership in the Candian Physiotherapy Association
Postgraduate course work / training related to additional procedures, techniques and job function is required.
Experience with children in Early Intervention (birth to school age) is preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
