FETAL ALCOHOL SPECTRUM DISORDER

The Ministry’s Key Worker and Parent Support program supports families of children and youth with confirmed or suspected FASD. They offer child-specific support to families based on the child’s strengths and challenges and connect them to appropriate resources in the community.

Referral

Parents may self-refer to the program without an assessment, or at any point during the assessment process. Key worker services are not restricted to a family whose child qualifies for, or completes an assessment.

Provincial Outreach Program for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (POPFASD) is a Ministry of Education provincial resource program to help increase educators’ capacity to meet the educational needs of students with FASD.
