Description
The Ridge Meadows Child Development Centre is currently seeking a permanent part time 0.8 FTE (30.0 hr/week) Physical Therapist for our Early Intervention Team. We are a community-based agency providing early intervention services to children and families in the communities of Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, and Katzie First Nation. Our therapists work as part of an interdisciplinary team, following a community based, family centered model. We provide assessment, individual and group therapy, and consultation to children in our region from birth until school-entry, working collaboratively with other RMCDC-based therapists as well as various community agencies. We provide service in a variety of environments, including family homes, preschools/daycares, and the Centre itself. For more information visit our website at www.rmcdc.com.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
- Active (full) registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
- Experience working with young children with a variety of abilities and their families
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
- Ability to form and maintain positive working relationships with families, colleagues and community partners
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Practice and cultural safety practices an asset
Salary and Benefits:
Salary range per hour and benefits as per HSA Paramedical Agreement, according to qualifications and experience
Permanent part-time 0.8 FTE
Grade II (wage range: Year 1 ($42.56/hr) to Year 25 ($52.95/hr)) as per Health Sciences Professionals Bargaining Association collective agreement
