Reach Child and Youth Development Society is a non-profit organization that has been providing programs and services to children and their families since 1959. We proudly serve the communities of Delta, Surrey, and Langley B.C. and offer a variety of programs and services designed to meet the needs of children to ensure their optimal development. Summary:
The SLP participates as a member of the Early Intervention team, providing screening, assessment, direct intervention, consultation and diagnostic services to children with speech therapy needs and their families. The SLP assesses children’s speech, language and communication skills; plans and develops goals and programs in these areas to improve skills / functioning; implements these goals and coaches families and therapy assistants to implement these goals.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Registration with CHCPBC
- Two (2) years recent related experience
Additional Requirements:
- This position requires union membership
- Home visits are required. This position requires that the SLP have a valid BC Driver’s license and a vehicle for transportation to families’ homes, staff meetings, training and community settings.
- A cell phone and clear criminal record search are also required.
