Description
Role: Physiotherapist (Pediatric Rehabilitation)
Status: .8 FTE or full-time
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 8:30 – 4:30 with some flexibility in hours.
Location: Penticton-with some travel to our outlying communities. Use of personal vehicle may be required.
Wage & Benefits: $40.84 - $50.80 per hour in accordance with the HSA Collective Agreement Health Science Professionals Subsector including a comprehensive benefits package.
The OSNS Child and Youth Development Centre is a vibrant, not-for-profit organization providing clinical intervention and support services to children with a variety of developmental conditions.
We work in a family-centered, child-focused environment and enjoy close community partnerships. We are continuously evolving to reflect best practices of intervention. This role functions as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team and will require that our Centre’s vision and values be represented with spirit and professionalism.
The Physiotherapist will provide assessments, consultations, and treatment for children, (under the age of 6), with physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and/or sensory concerns, both individually and in groups. The successful candidate will coordinate and collaborate with team members and community partners.
We are seeking a team member who believes in clinical collaboration and knowledge sharing. Effective partnerships with families require strong communication skills and clinical experience.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy

Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC)

Experience in pediatric rehabilitation is beneficial; however, a new or recent graduate would be strongly considered given the experienced and supportive team you would be joining.

Additional coursework in the family dynamic and effective parent coaching

Ability to maintain communication with clients and caregivers to foster optimal progress and establish supportive, collaborative, and therapeutic relationships

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Ability to maintain electronic records and write reports

Ability to plan, organize and prioritize caseload and other duties

Ability to work independently and use a cooperative approach

Ability to provide an acceptable criminal record check

Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid BC driver’s license.
