Company Information
The Children's Therapy and Family Resource Centre (CTFRC) is an accredited, non-profit agency that is owned and operated by the Thompson Nicola Family Resource Society. Located in Kamloops, BC, the centre has operated since 1991. We our governed by a board of directors, consisting of both parents and community members, who are responsible for the agency's overall operation.
Our Mission
CTFRC is dedicated to supporting children with an identified need(s) and their families to build on their strengths and skills to enable successful participation at home, school and in the community.

Children living life fully within their family, school, and community.
- We strive to: emphasize and build on the existing strengths of children and families, in order to enhance their knowledge, skills and participation in community life;
- Assist children to participate in their communities by identifying and removing environmental and personal barriers, increasing supports in their environment, and enhance their competencies at the personal level;
- Focus on social inclusion and participation, which may assist in changing attitudes towards disabilities.
We feel grateful and honoured to provide our services on the traditional and unceded territories of the Secwepemc Nation. We acknowledge the rights, interests, priorities, and concerns of all Indigenous Peoples (First Nations, Métis and Inuit), respecting and acknowledging their distinct cultures, histories, rights, laws and governments.
We are dedicated to building an inclusive community that comprises individuals who have an array of identities, abilities, backgrounds, cultures, skills, perspectives, and experiences that are representative of the current and evolving population.
