Description

NONA Child Development is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team!

The Occupational Therapist is part of an interdisciplinary team to provide assessment, therapy, and consultative services to a diverse pediatric population. This role supports children with a wide range of developmental needs, including but not limited to sensory processing differences, fine motor delays, and autism spectrum disorder. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with families and caregivers to identify strengths, set meaningful goals, and develop individualized activities and daily routines that promote the child’s development, participation, and functional skills across environments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Administers pediatric occupational therapy to children in a variety of settings
  • Assesses strengths and needs of children referred to program through formal and/or informal methods
  • Interprets results to parents and other team members
  • Develops and implements an individualized program plan for each child in collaboration with parents and other professionals
  • Consults to other team members and community partners regarding the child’s program
  • Re-evaluates the child’s progress at regular intervals and updates the child’s program as necessary
  • Works as part of an interdisciplinary team in treatment approach
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Therapy Programs Supervisor

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university
  • Eligible for membership in the British Columbia and Canadian Associations of Occupational Therapists
  • Pediatric experience preferred but not required
  • Consent to Criminal Record Check through the BC Criminal Records Review Program
  • Valid driver’s license and own transportation
