Position: Occupational Therapist
Location: Oceanside
Hours: 14-18 hours per week - Temporary
Salary: $44.05 - $52.82 per hour (Grid 16-P-OT)
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our SOURCES Oceanside team!
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is a member of the Child Development Services (CDS) team, providing integrated, multidisciplinary, family-centered developmental services and supports to the children and families within the service delivery area.
The OT provides community-based services and supports for children between birth and school entry who have, or are at risk for, a developmental delay and/or disability and their families. Services are provided at home, in community settings such as preschool and childcare centers and at the child development center. The OT works to promote participation in daily activities, and specializes in motor skills, activities of daily living, perceptual/cognitive skills, sensory supports, functional play skills, specialized equipment and environmental modifications, as well as posture control.

Description of Position:
Reporting to: Child Development Services Team Leader
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the CDS team to provide integrated, family centered service delivery.
- Plans and provides developmentally appropriate therapy services in individual and/or group settings.
- Maintains caseload and manages waitlist.
Program-specific Responsibilities:
- Participates in external consultation with consent and as required (physician, pediatrician, childcare, preschool, school district etc.).
- Recommends, trials and loans equipment as appropriate.
- Provides comprehensive, written developmental reports based on assessment and observations.

Qualifications / Education / Training:
- Have a recognized degree in Occupational Therapy – Mandatory.
- Must be registered and in good standing with The College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (Occupational Therapy) – Mandatory.
- Clear Criminal Record Check – Mandatory.
