The Role
We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to join the Outreach Therapy team in Port Alberni, BC, located on beautiful Vancouver Island! Guided by a family-centered philosophy, we provide early intervention services to children and families in our communities. As a sole-charge Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, you will deliver a combination of virtual telehealth and in-person care. This dynamic role involves working with a diverse range of families and cultures within the hub community of Port Alberni and the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District. Our services also extend to the West Coast of Vancouver Island, including many coastal First Nations communities, providing a rewarding and impactful experience.

What you bring
- Member in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC with pediatric experience.
- Clear criminal record check for working with vulnerable populations, access to reliable transportation with driver license in good standing, and current first aid CPR-C certificate.
- Experience and desire to work in a blended in-person (90%) and virtual therapy (10%) model, and comfortable working in a digital environment.
- Team oriented, but comfortable working autonomously.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, with training and expertise in trauma-informed and culturally sensitive service delivery.
- Clear, courteous, and professional communication skills.
- Leadership skills and a desire to create change and grow a program from the ground up.
- RASP (Registry of Autism Service Providers) certified is an asset but not required upon hiring.
- Experience with and knowledge of the At Home Program.
