Description
Job Summary:
Providing speech-language services to a pediatric population using a family-centred service delivery model in conjunction with the other members of the intervention team. You will be working with children age 0 – kindergarten entry, doing consultations, assessments, and intervention. The Centre for Child Development services families living in Surrey, Delta, Langley, and White Rock. Intervention takes place on site, but can also occur virtually, in daycare, preschool or in the family's home.
Qualifications, Skills & Ability Requirements
- Masters’ Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent)
- Registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC
- 1 – 3 years recent clinical paediatric experience is preferred but new grads welcome
- Experience with providing services within a consultation model would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of Aboriginal culture, or a second language would be considered an asset
- Continuing education/practice with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred
- Hanen Basic certification would be considered an asset
- Criminal record check, valid BC driver’s license, satisfactory driver’s abstract and access to a vehicle are required
