Description

North Coast Community Services Society (NCCS) is seeking a Pediatric Physiotherapist to join our dedicated, collaborative and close-knit team in Prince Rupert—a vibrant coastal community where natural beauty and outdoor adventure meet meaningful work.

Enjoy short, stress-free commutes, a lower cost of living compared to larger BC centres, and more time to focus on what matters—both professionally and personally.

From world-class fishing and wildlife viewing to hiking, skiing, paddling, and cultural experiences, Prince Rupert offers an exceptional lifestyle. With easy access to Haida Gwaii, Vancouver Island, and the Central Coast through BC Ferries, this is a unique opportunity to live and work in an inspiring setting.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Physiotherapist works with children and youth experiencing physical disabilities and/or motor delays. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will:

  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized intervention plans
  • Support children and youth to achieve developmental milestones and improve mobility
  • Recommend and support the use of assistive technologies
  • Contribute to educational, recreational, and community participation outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and community partners
  • Deliver services using culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches
  • Support service delivery across the region, including Haida Gwaii and virtual care options
  • We’re seeking a compassionate and motivated Physiotherapist who is excited to begin or continue building their career supporting children, youth, and families.

This role is a great fit for a new graduate who is eager to apply their skills in a supportive, team-based environment. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your clinical practice while working alongside experienced colleagues in a collaborative and encouraging setting.

In this role, you will thrive if you:

    • Are passionate about helping children and youth achieve their developmental goals
    • Bring a client- and family-centred approach and a willingness to learn and grow
    • Are open to mentorship, feedback, and ongoing professional development
    • Communicate clearly and build positive, respectful relationships with families and colleagues
    • Are adaptable and curious, with a readiness to navigate new situations with support
    • Value working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
    • Are interested in developing skills in culturally responsive and trauma-informed practice
    • Are open to using virtual service delivery tools to support clients across the region

We are proud to offer an environment where new team members are welcomed, supported, and encouraged to build confidence in their practice, while making a meaningful impact in the community.
