We recognize that Fraser Health provides care on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Coast Salish and Nlaka’pamux Nations, and is home to 32 First Nations within the territories of the Fraser Salish region. People - those we care for and those who care for them - are at the heart of everything we do.

Fraser Health is dedicated to serving all Indigenous people, and honours the unique cultures of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit living within the Fraser Salish region.

As the largest regional health authority in B.C., we continue to transform our health system so we can improve the health and health outcomes for over two million people in 20 diverse communities using strategies like these:

• Focusing on the health and well-being of people and communities. By creating inclusive care environments that foster trust and respect and address systemic barriers and biases, we aim to ensure everyone receives the care they need and deserve.
• Committing to improving health services for First Nations and Métis peoples by working within a Partnership Accord, the first of its kind in Canada, that supports joint decision making with First Nations and Métis partners.
• Prioritizing digitization to continuously improve the quality, consistency and safety of the care we provide. This includes using virtual 3D hospital models for real-time decision-making and developing B.C.'s first digital health care navigator.
• Creating positive change through innovation and transformational projects to improve patient care. By using our services differently to get people home sooner (Fraser Health Virtual Care) or working with partners to help people in crisis (Mobile Integrated Crisis Response Teams), we're reimagining our health system.
• Taking action for planetary health to reduce our carbon emissions, divert waste and build Canada's first fully-electric hospital. This focus will help us make our communities safer and healthier.
